AboveNet Unites with Friends Reunited

LONDON, August 1, 2005 – AboveNet Communications UK Ltd., a leading provider of fibre connectivity solutions for business and a subsidiary of AboveNet Inc., proudly launched their company logo and brand on what is one of the UK’s largest website success stories of the century, the phenomenon Friends Reunited.

Friends Reunited, which has over 11 million members and helps to reunite old friends from school, college, university, workplaces, teams and clubs, has hosted its website solely with AboveNet for the last two years.

This new contract will provide Friends Reunited with dual, 100Mb Ethernet connectivity feeds into Telecity’s hosting facility. This network will allow Friends Reunited to back their entire website database of over 16.5 million records to Telecity’s recently launched Backup and Restore Service. In return, Friends Reunited will work with AboveNet to promote AboveNet’s brand on the homepage of this prestigious website.
