AboveNet Announces StarLight 10 Gig Network DuPage National Technology Park Celebrates Opening NEW YORK, September 26, 2005 – AboveNet, Inc, a premier metro network access provider of custom fiber connectivity solutions for business, today announced the kick off of the StarLight 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network located at the DuPage National Technology Park in West Chicago, Illinois. StarLight embraces a global scientific community conducting advanced networking, database applications, visualization and computing research using IP over wave division networks. StarLight was developed by the Electronic Visualization Lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the International Center for Advanced Internet Research (iCAIR) at Northwestern University, and the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory.
