ABOVENET TO PROVIDE MULTI-STATE HIGH BANDWIDTH CONNECTIVITY FOR IPR INTERNATIONAL DATA CENTERS

AboveNet Will Link IPR’s Philadelphia Facilities with Data Centers in Wilmington, DE, and Reading, PA, with Future Expansion Planned into Baltimore-Washington Corridor

WHITE PLAINS, NY, April 8, 2010 – AboveNet, Inc. (NYSE:ABVT), a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions, today announced a major new contract with IPR International, LLC, which offers comprehensive Managed Electronic Data Protection Service to over 240 clients in 17 countries.

AboveNet is providing high bandwidth connectivity solutions linking IPR facilities in Philadelphia with IPR’s recently opened data center in Wilmington, DE, and also to IPR’s Reading Business Continuity Center located in Reading, PA, where AboveNet solutions already support large enterprises, including a major global banking and financial services institution. In addition to utilizing AboveNet for its Metro Ethernet high bandwidth connectivity, they also have chosen AboveNet for its IP bandwidth services. To meet explosive demand for reliable, low latency connectivity by companies doing business throughout the mid-Atlantic region, IPR plans future expansion of its network, using AboveNet solutions to serve clients in the Baltimore-Washington metroplex.
